Quality Management

Metra/Metservice was the first national meteorological service operation in the world to achieve ISO9001 certification

Since 1995 Metra / MetService has been certified to ISO 9001:1994 standard, with this certification upgraded to ISO 9001:2000 as of October 2001. This is not just a plaque on the wall, it is "how we do things".

All processes are designed to have adequate backups of data source, hardware and software, and all processes are audited for improvements.

All New Zealand operations and production processes are registered as complying with the ISO 9001 Quality Management Standard.
